it’s hard to be merry when the database is holding you hostage. save 2 three-minute breaks, i have been sedentary since 10 a.m., cutting, pasting, and counting madly, trying to help the database get a hold of itself.
geez.
the database’s xmas wish list includes just one item: the cheeky bedtime favorite Fairytales for Computers. the database is a little miffed because it can’t, for the life of it, find an available copy of the illustrated verson. still, it can be appeased by the non-illustrated version.
anyone who loves the database will take note of this post. : )

i too have spent several hours in front of a database today – and it’s still hungry. it wants more information and it wants to be friends. i keep trying to explain to database that unless he starts giving something back, our relationship is over.
